Hand-Made Items: Because each item is handcrafted, slight variations in color, grain pattern, size, and finish are expected. These are not defects but are the unique characteristics of a handmade, one-of-a-kind product.
Natural Materials: Wood is a natural material. Changes in temperature and humidity may cause natural movement such as slight warping or checking. We are not responsible for damage resulting from environmental conditions after the item has been delivered.
Pet-Friendly Shop Notice: Please be advised that our items are handcrafted in a home environment that includes dogs. While we take great care in cleaning and packaging our products, they may come into contact with pet dander. If you have severe pet allergies, please take this into consideration before purchasing.
Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not place hot pans or extreme cold directly on the wood surface.
Hand Wash Only: Never place your wood product in the dishwasher. The intense heat and water pressure will cause the wood to warp, crack, or split.
Gentle Cleaning: Clean your piece using warm water, a mild dish soap, and a soft sponge.
No Soaking: Never submerge your tray in a sink of water or let it soak.
Dry Immediately: After washing, immediately wipe the tray dry with a clean cloth. Allow it to air-dry completely on its edge to ensure proper airflow on all sides.
Regular Oiling: Wood is a natural, porous material that needs hydration. If your piece starts to look dull or feels dry, it’s time to re-oil. We recommend applying a high-quality, food-safe mineral oil or a specialized wood butter at least once a month and immediately after washing and drying. Apply a light, even coat of oil to the wood using a clean, lint-free cloth. Allow the wood to absorb the oil for a few hours (or overnight), then wipe off any excess with a clean, dry cloth.
Each of our handmade fabric items is crafted with care using quality materials. To keep your pieces looking their best and to extend their lifespan, we recommend the following care practices:
Washing Instructions
Gentle is Better: For the longest life, we recommend hand washing in cold water using a mild, pH-neutral detergent.
Machine Washing: If you choose to use a washing machine, please select the "Delicate" or "Gentle" cycle with cold water.
Protect Your Items: Turn garments or items inside out before washing to protect the outer fabric and any prints or embellishments. If the item has buttons, zippers, or delicate trim, placing it in a mesh laundry bag is a great way to prevent snagging.
Wash Like Colors: Always wash with similar colors to prevent potential dye transfer.
Drying Instructions
Avoid High Heat: Tumble drying, especially on high heat, can cause fabric to shrink, fade, or wear out prematurely.
Air Dry: We strongly recommend laying your items flat to dry on a clean towel or hanging them to dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area.
Avoid Direct Sunlight: Keep items out of direct, prolonged sunlight while drying, as this can cause colors to fade over time.
Ironing & Storage
Low Heat: If your item needs ironing, use a low heat setting. It is often helpful to place a thin pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric to prevent shine or accidental damage.
Storage: Store your items in a cool, dry place. Avoid keeping them in direct sunlight for long periods, as this can weaken fibers and fade vibrant colors.
